10 Exciting Christmas Games for Toddlers to Enjoy This Holiday Season
1. Jingle Bell Freeze
Turn up the holiday fun with Jingle Bell Freeze! Simply play the “Jingle Bells” song (or your favorite Christmas tune) and have your toddler dance along to the music.
The twist? When you hit pause, your little one has to freeze in place like a snowman until the music starts again!
It’s a silly, energetic game that’s perfect for getting those holiday wiggles out while building listening skills and coordination!
2. Santa Hat Relay Race
Relay races are an amazing gross motor activity for toddlers!
All you need for this game is a Santa hat and a bit of open space. Set up a simple course—like running to the couch and back or weaving around some chairs.
Have your toddler put on the Santa hat, run the course, and then pass the hat to the next player (or back to you if it’s just the two of you). The goal is to complete the relay as fast as possible while keeping the hat on!
3. Snowman Bowling
Bring the winter fun indoors with Snowman Bowling!
To set it up, simply draw, cut out, and glue adorable snowmen onto six old toilet paper rolls. Arrange the snowmen in a classic bowling triangle and hand your toddler a small ball.
The goal? Roll the ball to knock over as many snowmen as possible! This game is a great way to work on hand-eye coordination, and your toddlers will love the challenge of trying to knock them all down!
4. Christmas Scavenger Hunt
Turn your home into a holiday wonderland with a Christmas Scavenger Hunt!
Create a list of festive items for your toddler to find, such as a Christmas tree, an ornament, a wrapped present, or a candy cane. You can hide smaller items around the house or simply have them point out things already on display.
It’s an engaging activity that keeps little ones entertained while sharpening their observation skills and spreading holiday cheer!
5. Snowman Hide and Find
This is one of my favorite Christmas games for toddlers because it really encourages them to use their observation and critical thinking skills!
Use the snowmen from your Snowman Bowling game or make a few new ones. Hide the snowmen in different spots around the house—behind the couch, under a table, or even peeking out from a shelf. Then let your toddler go on a snowman hunt to find them all!
It’s a simple yet exciting game that adds a little touch of holiday magic to their day.
6. Jingle Bell Basket Throw
Jingle Bell Basket Throw is a festive twist on a classic tossing game! All you need are a few baskets and some jingle bells.
Have your toddler toss the bells into the baskets, aiming to make as many as they can. For added fun, assign each basket a score and turn it into a game to see who can score the most points.
It’s a fantastic gross motor activity that also helps develop hand-eye coordination!
7. Plastic Cup Tree Stacking Race
I love this game because it doubles as a fun arts-and-crafts activity and an exciting holiday game!
Start by drawing and cutting out six Christmas trees that are about the size of red plastic cups. Then, let your toddler decorate the trees with festive stickers or markers—my little one enjoyed this part even more than the stacking!
Once the trees are decorated, glue them onto the cups and challenge your toddler to stack the cups into a pyramid as quickly as they can.
It’s a creative and active way to build fine motor skills while adding a Christmas touch to playtime!
8. Christmas i-Spy
This game is perfect for entertaining little ones while sharpening their observation skills!
Look around the room and take turns saying, “I spy with my little eye something…” and describe a festive item, like a shiny ornament, a red stocking, or a glowing Christmas light.
Your toddler then has to guess what you’re describing. You can make it as easy or challenging as you like, and it’s a fun way to soak in all the holiday decorations together!
9. Pin Nose on Reindeer
Turn this classic party game into a fun Christmas game for toddlers!
Draw or print out a big reindeer on a poster board, leaving the nose blank. Cut out a red nose (or use dot stickers like us!) for each player. Blindfold your toddler, spin them gently, and let them try to stick the nose in the right spot.
It’s a hilarious game that always gets everyone laughing!
10. Christmas Balloon Keep Up
Christmas Balloon Keep Up is a simple yet endlessly entertaining game that my kids adore!
Grab some festive holiday balloons (the dollar store is a great spot to find them), and challenge your toddler to keep the balloon in the air without letting it touch the ground.
It’s a fantastic way to burn off energy while improving coordination. Plus, if your little one loves this game, check out my post on easy balloon activities for kids for even more fun ideas to try!

Whether it’s dancing to Jingle Bells or stacking plastic cup trees, these games are sure to bring plenty of giggles and joy to your home.
